"It's fantastic. I think Sergio said this was a monument to a governor or something. It's obvious somebody liked him. I can't think of any Governor in America that would rate this. We only name bridges or freeways after people."

"I can't think of anyone in our government that would rate this period. I really wish I had brought a camera. Okay, what's next on that list, this is exciting?"

For the next hour and a half they walked from site to site, each site was awe inspiring in itself. They visited the Pantheon, the Spanish steps and several fountains. The last on the list was a fountain called the Trevi Fountain. The waters at the base of the fountain were lit up and looked like dark jade green as the lights above cast the statues in an almost unearthly soft white light. "Jennifer this is by far the coolest fountain I've seen over here, and I've seen some great ones. The legend goes that if you turn your back to the fountain and throw a coin over your left shoulder with your right hand, you will return here someday."

"John, let's try it, what do you think?'

"I'm game. I even have the two coins we can use." They both stood there, their backs to the fountain and threw their coins into the water. John looked over to Jennifer. "I felt that, I think I felt the fountain blessing me with a return trip, how about you?"

"I hope so, this place is so beautiful. I wish Michael wasn't so busy that he could at least do a little sightseeing with me. Maybe I should throw a coin in for him too." They both laughed. A serious look filled her face. "I know he feels bad that he hasn't had time for me. I was putting away his clothes in his dresser drawer at lunch while he was showering for his out of town trip today and saw a small white bag in the back of the drawer. I peeked inside and it had a small jewelry gift box in it. I know I shouldn't have, but I peeked into it anyway."

"Weren't you worried he would catch you snooping?"

"Oh no, he was in the shower and when he's in the shower he sings, not very well mind you, but you know when the water is flowing anyway. He also dries off in the shower before he gets out so I knew I had plenty of time. I opened it up and there was a pair of really expensive looking large dangly gold earrings in it. They were long with several conical shaped green stones dangling from each earring. They remind me of the emerald green of the water in this fountain. They are way too big for my taste, but I know he tried hard so I'll love them when he gives them to me. I will wear them a couple of times around him and thank him again for them before I bury them in the back of my jewelry box never to be worn again."
