A week after the hospital contacted him word had reached Erik that their father had put a hefty reward out for her return. He knew that if he had heard about the reward money then so had Eraldo, and Eraldo would not be so nice in his dealings with their sister. Although his own business was becoming lucrative, but he could use the funds. Should he contact their father and let him know that he has seen her, or should he follow her and find out where she was going and keep her from harm? Or should he try to recruit the man she was traveling with and collect the reward for the two of them? But if their father knew that he was alive, and where he was he would surely be hunted. Maybe he should just leave well enough alone and just keep a watchful eye on his baby sister.
As Alannah and Nicolò wandered the pier, they failed to notice that they were being followed. The figure that watched and scrutinized her every move was none other than the long lost brother who had departed long ago from their family. Alannah's other two brothers strayed from the family business, which did not make their father happy. She was the family jewel, the one her brothers tried to protect, but after Jakob had been removed never to be seen again, Erik and Eraldo were expected to take over the family business. When the two of them left the house, their father went ballestic and forbaid any of them to see Alannah or talk to her in any way. Erik was the only one of the two that tried to contact her, he had loved her the most. He would write to her on a constant basis, he would apologize to her for not being able to take her with him. After she ran, she tried to contact Erik, but he wouldn't help her for fear of their father's wrath. He did give her money and words of advice, but that was all he would risk. Jakob the eldest brother was nowhere to be found, Alannah had always hope that he was still alive, but it was looking more and more like he wasn't. Both Eraldo and Erik was 5'11, and very well built, Erik had sandy blonde hair and hazel eyes, while Eraldo had red hair and green eyes. That was the only way growing up anyone was able to tell them apart. Eraldo had gotten the Irish genes of his mother and Erik and taken on the German of his father. They were both handsome men, but unlike his brother Erik Eraldo was the one who would eventually end up like their father. When Eraldo wasn't scheming to take over the world, he was out with his next "thing" at some local club.
