During her third week on the job there was breaking news story that covered a bank robbery and high speed chase that ended in a crash but the driver and passnager was taken into custody and federal charges was pending..One morning she covered a story about a local school bus accident who sent several students to the ER. one morning on the news desk she found a note saying watch your step or the hand of God is going to come down on you. She just shrugged it off.
One day she picked up one of the highlights and the story had to do with a local tribe of native americans holding a pow wow and sent one of her reporters to cover the event and a group of school children attending the pow wow. That was the funnest story to cover for the day. Catrina had been there about a month when the neighboring state had a five point eight earthquake that shooked the studio during her noon broadcast The floor and wall shooked hard enough where the studio's lightening system came down and Catrina took shelter under her desk till the shaking was over. For days they felt the after shakes . In the area there wasn't any major damages just rattled a lot of people's cages as to speak including Catrinas.
