One night Catrina heard what sounds like hissing sound and looked out her window and saw flames sprewing from the apartment building just across the parkinglot from her. She rang to the phone and called nine one one and then her studio to report it so her news station was the first one there reporting it. She ran across the parkinglot and opened the bottom level door with her key and pulled the fire alarm which made such a loud noise people started running out. She prayed that everyone got out in time. There was a few that was trapped on the fourth and top floor and was recued by the fire department. The cause of the fire was unknown.
On a Sunday after church she drove by and saw one of the studio's van parked at the roadside of an planned parenthood and noticed a group of protestors holding a rally and the studio's camera man and reporter was live interviewing people. Then she saw this red, white, and blue van who had a very familiar candidates name on it and realized it wasn't as much about plan parenthood as it was a place to hold his rally because he was running a pro lifer. In no time this other group showed up to protest against him and the studio's reporter and camera man was right in the middle of a very heated protest and she called nine one one again. The camera man had his camera taken away and hit him right in the face then smashed it on the ground. The reporter was shoved against the van several times then did manage to get the door opened a little bit and got in and helped the camera man in to get away from harms way. The studio's van was vandalized. There was a second camera in the van who had been turned on and had taken pictures of the protestors who was arrested and charged with assault and battery.The camera man had his nose and jaw broke and lost some of his teeth and would be off from work for quite some time. The candidate was rushed off to safety before any of the protestors that was against him could rush him. The next day Catrina gave a update on the cameraman's condition on air and wished him a speedy recovery and kind of made a joke about he was single and would appreciate all single women to come visit him in the hospital. She had no idea how many single women had seen him on air and did exactly that..
