“I like your sense of humor, I knew you had it in you. I’m already fascinated by you. You are definitely not a damsel in distress at all. Maybe you should ride on this charging horse. You won’t regret it.”

She got air stuck in her lungs. She figured it was her past drowning her, she felt something hard on her chest. It was her instincts pushing her to jump on him.

“You should forgive your mum, everyone make mistakes.” His brows rose but his expression didn’t waver.

She leaned her forehead on her palm and banged it a few times. “Again with that topic?”

“It’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it.”

“Mr. O’Donnell, you are a pain in the butt.” She smiled.

He nodded amicably, “Been called worse, I like it.” He said while laughing like a drunk hyena. He leaned in and whispered in her ears, “This is the best night of my life.”

She closed her eyes, he was more attractive close up.

“Is this how you lie to all women?” she asked, strangled.
